The Island Street cafe - bar - grill has now been open since Easter and so far so good. The busy summer season is now in full flow and Island Street is starting to find its feet.
During July and August we will have live music every Sunday evening in the bar and other events so check the website for details.

18/07/10 SUMMER OPENING HOURS
The Winking Prawn BBQ is now on from 11am everyday, serving take away baguettes and fries until 4pm. From 4pm onwards we will be serving our BBQ menu, delicious steaks, chicken and prawns, fish and vegetarians too! Our BBQ is weather dependant.
Our WP Ice Cream Van is now open everyday and this year we are selling take away coffees and teas, cold drinks and scrumptious Salcombe Dairy Ice Cream!!
Check out The Beach Box next door, also open everyday with body boards, wetsuits, buckets 'n spades, crabbing lines, footballs and Winking Prawn hoodies to mention a few.

(22/12/09) WINKING PRAWN TO OPEN NEW RESTAURANT EASTER 2010
I am pleased to announce (if you do not all ready know) that Mark, Jane, Lucy and Luke from the Winking Prawn will be opening a new bar and restaurant in Salcombe, Easter 2010.
Island Street Bar & Grill will be opening around easter time next year. Located in the Hannafords Landing building on Island Street will make it a convienient and casual venue for you to eat, drink and meet in Salcombe. Serving fresh grilled fish, steaks, home made burgers, satisfying salads, seafood platters and more.....
The bar will serve, cool refreshing drinks and cocktails as well as an extensive wine list and range of beers and ciders to suit
We hope to offer entertainment all year round with Live Music, Bands and Comedy Nights.
